A second university project also used an original poem as a starting point, considering the concept of reincarnation. Both Eastern spiritual traditions and Western science attempt to understand the nature of consciousness and increasingly has points of divergence. Influenced by the works of Bill Viola and Ann Hamilton, video seemed an appropriate medium as an expression of consciousness, the non-linear nature of time and its relationship to the body.
